How I Allow My Life (And My Clients') To Run a Bit Smoother

  • jayel

As the owner of JL Fitness, a personal trainer, and fitness business coach, I often find it very difficult to stay on track with my nutritional goals, balance my own personal workout, and find myself desperately searching for more hours in the day.

Most of us young professionals are constantly in search of this thing called “balance” that people keep referring to, and I swear I’d be able to find that if there were at least two more hours in the day.

Time management is something we tend to get really good at when it comes to our work and businesses, but when it comes to our personal lives, I find, it lacks.

If I’m being honest (which is one of my main policies), I’m not one of those trainers that love to cook in their spare time, and meal prepping isn’t something I enjoy doing.

Personally, I’d rather invest in higher quality meals that are delicious, nutritious, and allow my life to run a bit smoother during the week, than to slave away in the kitchen for hours when I could be doing something else that I, well…enjoy.

With my clients being my number one priority and myself falling into second place I need options…lots and lots of healthy, grab-and-go options that I can throw in my bag, have in my fridge, or put on a plate and heat up come dinner time.

One thing that I love about Grateful Plate is that each week their menu changes, leaving me with a wide array of options to choose from. Whether I’m trying to cut back on my sugar intake, lay low on my dairy consumption, or want to swap out meat for vegan options, they’ve got it covered.

Their meals are colorful (think taste the rainbow) type of colorful and delivered to my front door.

I’m beyond excited to have partnered with Grateful Plate to share a few of my JL Fitness approved meals from their upcoming menu.

- Kung Pao Chicken with Brown Rice

- Salmon with Thai Coconut Curry Sauce

- Seared Chicken Breast with Herbed Sun-Dried Tomato Sauce with Quinoa Pilaf and Swiss Chard

- Loaded Green Salad with Apple Cider Vinaigrette with Grilled Chicken

- Because dessert is always necessary: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Chia Pudding

- View the menu

As a fitness business owner, it’s my job to understand the needs of my clients who are often too busy to cook every night, leaving themselves in a tough spot of eating something purely out of convenience that usually isn’t the healthiest option, to being able to order gourmet food that is healthy and delivered to their doorstep. Winner, winner, Grateful Plate for dinner!
