Our new online ordering system is so close to being ready for launch that we can taste it! We're putting the final touches on it and will have more details to share with you next week. While we are very excited to launch Grateful Plate into a whole new technological era, we are believers of living in the present, and that means a menu for Monday that is loaded with deliciousness.

We're really enjoying mixing things up with our grains, vegetables and entrees.  This week we are preparing our Seared Cumin Chicken Breast over Red Quinoa, and the new twist is the addition of Elote, which is our take on Mexican street corn that is traditionally on the cob, slathered in mayo, butter, salt, cotija cheese and lime juice. Our Elote is off the cob and served over top of the chicken breast. Ingredients include organic, dairy-free and soy-free mayo and cotija cheese. While this Mexican cow's milk cheese is slightly salty and adds great texture to dishes, if dairy isn't your thing, just ask and we'll omit it from your order. No problem!

This week's Cod with Orange Miso Glaze is being served up with a grain-free side, Mashed Edamame! This super fresh side is perfect for a light summer meal. Made with lemon juice, toasted sesame oil and fresh herbs, we think you will love this protein-packed alternative to grains. If you'd like to order some Mashed Edamame but are not interested in the entire entree, remember that we can serve you any of our grains, starches or side vegetables by the pint for $9.00!

Next week we are excited to offer two brand new options on our menu. The first is a new breakfast choice. Or is it the perfect mid-afternoon energy boosting snack? Or is it dessert? It can be any, and that's why we're dishing up 6 bites per order. We are stoked to offer for the first time, Strawberry Brown Rice Crispy Treat Bites! These vegan and gluten free delights are sweetened with organic brown rice syrup, which falls on the low end of the glycemic index, so it will not spike your blood sugar like refined white sugar can. The second new addition to our menu is House Made Broth! Who wants to spend hours over a stove in the summer time, making homemade broth? Let us do all the heavy lifting! Our Grateful Chicken and Vegetable Broths are made with love and are the secret ingredient to many of our sauces and marinades. We use filtered water, top quality vegetables, and our chicken stock is made with pastured, sustainably-raised chicken! Both are frozen shortly after cooking to lock in freshness. For a limited time, we are discounting the price of the broths by 20%. The Vegetable Broth is available by the quart for $8, and the Chicken Broth is available for $8.50.
