Meal Delivery Menu for May 30th, 2017
If you're like us, you are gearing up for a fun holiday weekend, filled with family, friends and good food! PLEASE NOTE: due to the holiday, we will be delivering next week's meals on Tuesday, May 30th. That means our order deadline has been extended to Sunday at midnight. We will send our usual reminder a day later, on Sunday morning instead of Saturday. After a jam packed and BBQ filled holiday weekend, let us help you eat well throughout the week ahead!
Here at Grateful Plate, we believe in bio-individuality: the idea that there is no one ideal diet for all people. Some people thrive on a 100% plant-based diet, while others feel their best when eating according to Paleo, Gluten Free or Macrobiotic principles. However you eat, there are two ideas we believe applies to everyone: top-quality ingredients are essential to any healthy diet and everyone needs plenty of fresh, colorful vegetables. We take great pride in making sure we source the highest quality ingredients for our veggie-packed meals, and we enjoy creating lasting relationships with our local farmers and purveyors. One of our favorite local companies is Primal Supply Meats. Butchers Heather Thomason, Cecilie May and their amazing crew practice whole animal butchery and directly connect farmers with consumers. In our experience, their products are the gold standard for how sustainable animal operations should be run, with integrity and transparency. Next week's Pulled BBQ Pork with House Made Pickled Vegetables is made with pork shoulders from Primal, and we think it's the perfect dish to remind you that summer is here!
On the other end of the dietary spectrum, we are dishing up a new vegan entree next week: Crispy "Breaded" Tofu with Sesame Herb Dipping Sauce that features our secret gluten free "breading" and a magically delicious tahini miso dipping sauce that is packed with flavorful fresh herbs. We are also doing a play on potato salad and coleslaw, except our versions are both dairy free, gluten-free and nutrient dense. Check out our Roasted Red Potato, Asparagus and Lentil Salad, as well as our Cabbage and Kale Coleslaw with "Creamy" Miso Ginger Dressing, and you'll never go back to mayo again! Don't forget our Cashew Vegetable Stir Fry with either Chicken or Tofu, and our fresh Basil Spinach Pesto Penne that is made with our house made, dairy free, nut free, vegan pesto!
